Tonight's Meet The Bulldogs event has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. We are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause. However, we want to invite you to join us on Thursday night for the scrimmage against Wimberley. The Athletic Booster Club will be serving hot dogs and a variety of students will be recognized during the scrimmage. Please come out and support the Bulldogs!!!

Due to unexpected circumstances beyond our control, student schedules will not be ready before August 20, 2014. Please note the change in schedule pickup dates and times.†

Random Student Drug Testing Program Information Meeting to be Held August 14th!


Each year prior to the beginning of school, the District is expected to hold an informational meeting for all interested parents regarding the Random Student Drug Testing Program. Any student who wishes to participate in extra or co-curricular activities such as Athletics, Band, Drill Team, Cheerleading, Academic UIL, Career and Technical Student Organizations, Student Council or operate a vehicle on campus must participate in the Random Drug Testing Program. Students will receive all the necessary paperwork from the sponsor of the activity in which they participate. An informational meeting will be held on August 14, 6:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. This meeting is for all parents of students in grades 7 - 12. 
Jason Edmondson Elected Area 7 FFA First Vice President
























Jason Edmondson, currently a Junior attending Burnet High School, was recently elected as the Area 7 FFA First Vice President. This election represents the highest ranking officer for Burnet FFA. Holding this title comes with many responsibilities. Area 7 is made up of 119 different FFA chapters and approximately 15,000 FFA members who are all relying on Jason and his fellow Area 7 officers.

This summer Jason will be attending the 86th annual Texas FFA Convention.  He will be in charge of the Area 7 FFA Delegates.  In the fall Jason will also attend the 86th annual National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky as a Texas FFA delegate and committee member. Jason has put much time and effort into becoming an Area 7 officer. Burnet FFA and the entire BHS family says congratulations Jason! Spirit, Pride and Honor.

Congratulations to Noah Coots, Sandy Fisher and Amanda Cockrell! These seniors were recently announced as BHS Students of the Month, May 2014! Noah, Sandy and Amanda were honored at the May Board of Trustees Meeting on Monday night, May 19th!  Congratulations to each of you!

Jimena Lopez and Taylor Holcomb Named April Students of the Month

Presenting awards Monday night were Jamie Wilson, BHS Spanish Teacher and Patricia Seirra, BHS Math Teacher.


Congratulations to Jimena Lopez and Taylor Holcomb, BHS Students of the Month for April, 2014! Jimena and Taylor were recently honored at the BCISD Board of Directors Meeting on Monday night, April 21st. These Burnet High School Seniors were chosen for their hard work and dedication to academics as well as their involvement in community and school. We say way to go Jimena and Taylor! Spirit, Pride and Honor.
BHS Students Chosen for RYLA
Hailey Haygood and Jason Edmondson, both currently juniors at Burnet High School, have been chosen to represent Burnet for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program this summer. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Burnet, Hailey and Jason will receive full scholarships to spend a week at McKinney Roughs Nature Park in Bastrop where they will participate in a leadership training and education program. This is an exceptional week of opportunity for students interested in leadership. Congratulations to Hailey and Jason, we are proud you will be representing Burnet High School!
Pre-Engineering Magnet Program
